Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks News Release
The Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks started a four game series off to a good start when they won the first game with a score of 5-2. They got on the score board in the first inning and held off the Cats until the ninth inning when they finally got on the score board with two runs.
The Ducks jumped out early on Cats starter Steve Hahn with a run in the first and two in the second. Adam Montarbo did the rest allowing just two runs in the bottom of the ninth with two outs. Steve Newson went 4-5 and Eddie Lang was 2-3 as the Ducks scored their fist three runs with two-outs.
The Ducks play the Cats Tuesday-Thursday. They will then travel to Amarillo to play the Dillas in a three game series.
