
Ducks Recall Brandon McMillan from Admirals

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Anaheim Ducks, NHL parent club of the Norfolk Admirals, have recalled left wing Brandon McMillan from the Admirals.
McMillan, 22 (3/22/90), has appeared in 36 contests with Norfolk this season, scoring 7-310 points with 36 penalty minutes (PIM). The 5-11, 190-pound winger had a recent three-game goal streak (4-04), including a two-goal game in Norfolk's 6-2 victory over Charlotte on Friday, Mar. 1.
A native of Richmond, British Columbia, McMillan last played for the Ducks during the 2011-12 season, appearing in 25 contests from October-December, collecting four assists (0-44) with 20 PIM. In addition, he played in 55 games with Anaheim's then-affiliate Syracuse in 2011-12, earning 12-1830 points with a +5 rating. He added 1-12 points in four Calder Cup Playoff games. In 107 career AHL games between Norfolk and Syracuse, McMillan has scored 23-2346 points with 82 PIM.
Selected by Anaheim in the third round (85th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, McMillan has scored 11-1425 points with 38 PIM in 85 career NHL contests. He made his NHL debut on Nov. 21, 2010 vs. Edmonton and scored his first career goal in his third NHL game on Nov. 27, 2010, a 6-4 Anaheim win at Phoenix. McMillan ranked tied for third among NHL rookies in short-handed goals (2) during the 2010-11 season.
The Admirals are back at Scope this week for three games in four days. They face off against the Charlotte Checkers on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m., the Hershey Bears on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and the Bears again on Saturday at 7:15 p.m.
