Ducks on a Streak

Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks News Release

The Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks have been on the road for the past six games and have not faired well. They have lost nine out of the last ten games. They played a four game homestand against Shreveport, but was only able to come out on top once. Hopes of winning on the road seem to have faded as the Ducks kept coming up short and losing to what was then last place Alexandria. They have also lost the first two of the four games against the Fort Worth Cats. Now the Ducks are fighting to fly back up the standings, a nine game deficit that they will compete for in the second half of the season.

New Ducks

The Springfield/Ozark Mountain Ducks have added a couple of new players to the team. Rookie catcher Roger Cook and rookie LHP Gary Hall Jr. were added to the roster on Thursday, June 26. Cook is a right-handed, 6'0", 205 lbs., catcher from Union University. He resides in Jackson, TN. Hall is a 6'3", 215lbs. left-handed pitcher who comes to the Ducks from Benedictine. He resides in Archie, MO. The Ducks have released Phillip May and sold Tim McClaskey to the Houston Astros.
