(Central Islip, N.Y., April 4, 2017) - The three-time Atlantic League champion Long Island Ducks will kick off their 18th season of play by hosting the team's annual Media Day on Saturday, April 15 beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The event will take place at Bethpage Ballpark in Central Islip as part of the team's Fifth Annual Fan Fest. All attendees should park in the administrative lot adjacent to the ballpark and enter through the Suite Level entrance, located on the plaza beneath the Bethpage Ballpark sign, starting at 10:00.
Media Day will begin with a light meal and distribution of season credentials, followed by a short press conference slated to begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. Ducks Founder/CEO Frank Boulton, President/General Manager Michael Pfaff, Manager Kevin Baez and select Ducks players are scheduled to be in attendance at the press conference.
The entire team is scheduled to take batting practice following the press conference, with one-on-one player availability taking place at that time. At 1:05 p.m., the Ducks will host the Bridgeport Bluefish in a spring training game. In the event of inclement weather, batting practice and the game may be cancelled, but all other elements will take place as scheduled.
