Soo Greyhounds News Release
The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club announced today the signing of centreman Carson Dubchak from the Fort Frances Sabres of the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL).
Dubchak, a native of Kenora ONT, was selected by the Hounds in the 10th Round (team's 11th pick overall) of this past May's OHL Priority Selection. He stands 6.00 while weighing 180 lbs.
In 12 games played this season, Dubchak has 10 goals and 8 assists (18 pts), to go along with 24 penalty minutes. He had 3 power-play and 3 short-handed goals.
"We are pleased to add Carson to our roster. He's a young player with some untapped potential. He skates very well, has excellent hockey sense and puck skills. We feel as he adapts to this level of hockey, he'll be a very productive player for us. We really like his potential" commented GM Dave Torrie.
Dubchak is in Sault Ste. Marie and will join the team for practice later today.
