March 17, 2004 - South East Hockey League (SEHL) - Huntsville Channel Cats News Release

Huntsville, AL – Mike Orsini’s dream was to play goalie in a professional hockey game. Not only did his dream come true but he is leaving Huntsville with his first career win as the Channel Cats beat the Cape Fear Fire Antz 5-1 Wednesday night in front of 4,062 fans.

Mike, a 49-year old letter carrier from Rochester, NY, and the Channel Cats were participating in a new reality game show called No Opportunity Wasted. The show gives you $3,000 and 72 hours to complete your dream. It is scheduled to air in October.

He played 29 minutes in goal and only gave up one goal and had 12 saves in the win. Cats regular goaltender, Matt Carmichael, played 31 minutes and stopped 18 shots.

Joe Urbanik, James Patterson, Greg Snitowsky, Derek Reynolds and Mike Degurse all scored goals for the Cats. Dan Buccella had two assists while Urbanik, Patterson, Degurse, Jessi Otis and Luke Phillips all had one assist each.

Marc Milburn scored the only Fire Antz goal while Matt Kohansky had an assist.

The Cats will travel to Knoxville Friday night for the final regular season game. They will host games one and two of the SEHL Championship Series on April 1 and 2.
