
Dream Beat Lasers in 2nd Home Match 22-19

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (July 21, 2015) - Sacramento's California Dream continued their Mylan World TeamTennis inaugural season at Sunrise Marketplace with a second home match tonight against the Springfield Lasers, beating them again, this time with a score of 22-19. The California Dream have played eight matches so far with standings at 4-4 for the season.
The Laser's Michael Russell came out strong in the opening set of the evening defeating the Dreams' Tennys Sandgren 5-3 in men's singles.
However, in the next set, women's singles, Jarka Gajdosova answered back with a win against the Laser's Sachia Vickery to win 5-3.
In men's doubles, the Lasers' Andre Begemann and Michael Russell came out swinging throughout a competitive set to take the win from the Dream's Tennys Sandgren and Neal Skupski 5-4.
In the next set, Jarka Gajdosova and Anabel Medina Garrigues fought a strong match against the Lasers' Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Varvara Lepchenko to a 5-4 victory for the Dream in women's doubles.
Mixed doubles closed out the evening and netted another set win for the Dream with Neal Skupski and Annabel Medina Garrigues beating Anna-Lena Groenefeld and Andre Begemann of the Lasers 5-2.

The California Dream play their next home match on Thursday, July 23 at 7:30 p.m. The Dream's marquee players, Bob and Mike Bryan, the #1 men's doubles team in the world, will join the team this Thursday evening. They will again face the San Diego Aviators (3-4).
Sunrise Marketplace, in Citrus Heights, Calif., will host all home matches during the 2015 regular season which runs through July 29. The Dream will play seven home matches this July on a specially constructed stadium in the North parking lot at Sunrise Mall. Sunrise MarketPlace will be an inaugural sponsor of the California Dream.
