
Drakkar, Titan make waves

BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, January 7, 2008 - A few teams made moves today as the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League trade period enters the final stretch. The Acadie-Bathurst Titan and the Baie-Comeau Drakkar were the most active teams on the trade front.
The Drakkar acquired PEI Rocket captain Pierre-Luc Lessard (88-01-16) by trading away Mathieu Tousignant (89-11-21), Raphael Neiderer (91-03-29) and Myles Gomes (88-07-19). Baie-Comeau also traded François Lanctot-Marcotte (89-07-19) and their fifth round pick in 2008 (acquired from Acadie-Bathurst) to the Foreurs for Julius Sinkovic (88-03-24), Alexandre Moisan (90-03-26) and a fourth round selection in 2008.
The Titan sent a second round pick in 2009 to the Voltigeurs for defenseman Olivier Jannard (90-01-27). Then, they acquired the services of winger Kyle McNeil (88-07-26) by sending defenseman Jean-Simon Legros (89-09-12) to the Tigres. Moreover, Acadie-Bathurst traded Nicolas Sigouin (89-07-18) and a sixth round pick in 2009 to the Drakkar for third and sixth (acquired from Drummondville) picks in 2008 as well as a fourth round selection in 2009.
The trade period comes to a close tomorrow, at noon.
