
Dragons Look To Settle The Score Against The Denver Outlaws

Burlingame (CA) - The San Francisco Dragons head to Denver this weekend in a rematch against the Outlaws at INVESCO Field at Mile High on Friday, July 4th at 7 p.m. (MT). The game will be televised on ESPN2 (tape delay) on July 8 at 12:30 p.m. (PT).
The rematch comes after the Outlaws beat the Dragons 19-16 at INVESCO Field at Mile High on June 14th, 2008. The Dragons find themselves in fourth place in the Western Conference going into this weekend's matchup.
The Dragons (1-4) go to INVESCO Field at Mile High after Saturdays 21 - 14 loss to the Boston Cannons. Attackman, Jake Byrne leads the Dragons with 19 points (12 goals, 3 - 2 point goals and 4 assists) while attackman, Lewis Ratcliff is second with 14 points (12 goals and 2 assists). Midfielder Tim Booth has 12 points (9 goals and 3 assists) and is 5-12 on face-offs. Newly acquired Bill McGlone made a strong showing in his first game for the Dragons with 3 points (2 goals and 1 assist).
Dragons' rookies Matt Lalli, Mike Podgajny, Ryan Cranston and Brendan Loftus continue to be a strong presence in every game. Face-off specialist Greg Gurenlian is 90/167 on face-offs (.538%), 4 goals and has 15 groundballs. Dragons captain, Matt Vallone has a .500% save percentage in goal while defenseman captain, Eric Martin has 21 groundballs and scored unassisted in the last game against Boston. Veteran attackman captain Liam Banks has been on injured reserve for the past three games.
The Denver Outlaws (5-2) return home after losing to the Chicago Machine with a final score of 16-13. Attackman Brian Langtry is on top of the leader board for the Outlaws with 33 points (14 goals, 3 - 2 point goals, and 16 assists). Brendan Mundorf put up three goals and three assists against the Machine while former Dragons player, Ryan Powell netted two goals and four assists.
The San Francisco Dragons will return home on Saturday, July 12th to take on Kevin Leveille and the Chicago Machine at 7 p.m. (PT) at San Jose State University's Spartan Stadium. This will be the Dragons' second home game against the Machine this season. This year's series between the Dragons and Machine are tied at 1-1. The Machine handed Denver their second defeat of the season last weekend at Chicago's Toyota Field. The contest will be televised live on Comcast SportsNet West (Channel 400), Dish Network (Channel 409) and Direct TV (Channel 656).
