Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud members of the United Hockey League, announce that forward Jason Deitsch was selected as the UHL's Sher-Wood Player of the Month and the Easton Rookie of the Month for February.

February was an amazing month for Deitsch, as the forward netted 13 goals and added 11 assists in 13 games for the K-Wings. The native of Indianapolis, Indiana had a plus/minus rating of +18 and added 33 minutes in penalties.

Deitsch is currently on a fifteen game point streak and a six-game goal streak. Both streaks are K-Wing season highs. In fact, Deitsch has scored at least one goal in eleven of his last fourteen games, which includes three game-winning goals.

The Sher-Wood Player of the Month Award is the first earned any a K-Wings player in their UHL history.

Deitsch is just the second K-Wing in the team's UHL history to earn the Easton Rookie of the Month Award; goaltender Joel Martin received the award in November 2005.

The K-Wings will continue their three-game home stand tomorrow night, March 3rd at 7:30 p.m. against the top team in the Eastern Division, the Danbury Trashers.

The K-Wings will also be home this Saturday, March 4th at 7:30 p.m., as the Missouri River Otters come to Wings Stadium on Pepsi Night.
