
Dormady, Taumoepenu and Latimer Named OurSports Central XFL Players of the Week

Orlando Guardians quarterback Quinten Dormady, Vegas Vipers outside linebacker Pita Taumoepenu, and Orlando Guardians tight end Cody Latimer were named the OurSports Central XFL Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Unsung Hero of the Week, respectively, for week seven of the XFL season.
Dormady had an outstanding game, completing 27 of 34 passes for 328 yards and three touchdowns and added 22 yards rushing and three rushing scores in the Guardians' shocking 37-36 decision over the previously undefeated D.C. Defenders. The win gave Terrell Buckley his first victory as an XFL head coach.
Dormady played for three teams in college: Tennessee, Houston and Central Michigan. He was assigned to the Orlando Guardians.
One of Dormady's touchdown passes went to tight end Jordan Thomas.
Honorable mention goes to St. Louis quarterback A.J. McCarron who completed 26 of 34 passes for 222 yards and three touchdowns in the Battlehawks' 24-15 win over the Houston Roughnecks.
Taumoepenu collected one and a half sacks, four total tackles, one forced fumble and two passes defended in the Vipers' 26-12 triumph over the San Antonio Brahmas, earning Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.
Honorable mention goes to Seattle inside linebacker Clarence Hicks with five total tackles and one sack in the Sea Dragons' 24-15 conquest of the Arlington Renegades.
Latimer caught a game-winning 44 yard-touchdown reception from Dormady in the Guardians' victory.
A 2014 second round pick by the Denver Broncos, Latimer was a member of their Super Bowl L winning team. He also played with the New York Giants in 2018 and 2019.

Honorable mention goes to Vegas Vipers quarterback Jalan McClendon who made the most of his first XFL start, completing 21 of 31 passes for 264 yards and two touchdown passes to lead the Vipers back into the win column.
