RIO RANCHO - The New Mexico Stars are proud to announce that they have come to an agreement with Dominic Bramante to take over as head coach. Besides being the second coach in franchise history, Bramante is going to be the first Native American head coach in indoor football history.
A Member of the Otoe Nation of Oklahoma (Red Rock, Oklahoma), Bramante knows that his Native American roots will play a big part in connecting with people throughout New Mexico. "Being a Native American, I know how important family is." Bramante said. "I want to build a family with not only the Stars team, but with the people of Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. Native Americans are a proud and storied people, and it's my job to make the Stars a proud and storied franchise. For me this job isn't just about football; it's about empowerment. We want our football team to represent the rich traditions of our communities."
Bramante, age 48, boasts an impressive resume that spans 17 years and covers High School, College, Arena league, and the NFL. "You're hiring a dynamite, enthusiastic and motivational individual who will be a great leader for your organization" said Boone.
