INDIANAPOLIS- The Pittsburgh Riverhounds (7-7-4, 25 pts) beat the Indiana Blast (2-15-1 7 pts) 3-2 in overtime Sunday night at Kuntz Stadium in front of a franchise record 5,140 people. Jamar Beasley and Moussa Dagnogo exchanged goals and assists. Paul Dolinsky scored the game-winner in the 93rd minute against his former team after being cut last season.
The Blast struck first in the 54th minute. Peter Baah sent a ball up the left sideline to Moussa Dagnogo, who slid a pass into the 6 yard box to Jamar Beasley. Beasley took the pass in stride and beat the Riverhounds goalkeeper TJ Hannig to give the Blast the early lead.
After a Jaman Tripoli goal in the 68th minute, the Blast took the lead again on a goal by Moussa Dagnogo. Jamar Beasley dribbled around two defenders and flicked a pass into the penalty area where Dagnogo hammered a shot past Hannig.
Thiago Martin took away the much-needed victory from the Blast in the 88th minute. The Blast could not recover. Paul Dolinsky found a gap in the defense in the 3rd minute of the first overtime and sent a laser into the upper 90 for the golden goal.
The Blast's next home game will be Friday, July 18th against the Milwaukee Wave United at 7:35 pm at Kuntz Stadium. It's "Dog Days of Summer" night at Kuntz Stadium. Dogs get in free. Gates open at 6:30pm.
