At a press conference this morning it was announced that The Dodge City Law, VenuWORKS, and United Wireless have teamed-up to offer the community an affordable opportunity to see the exactly what kind of action packed entertainment the Law will offer SW Kansas this season. The Dodge City Law are the area's new professional indoor football team, and they play their first-ever exhibition game on February 22, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.
The exhibition game, which will be played at United Wireless Arena in Dodge City, will feature the Dodge City Law and the Missouri Mustangs, a semi-pro outdoor football team from the Kansas City area.
All tickets to the inaugural exhibition game will go on sale February 1 for $5, $7, and $9. Season ticket holders will have the option to reserve tickets for the exhibition game in the same seats they have chosen for the regular season.
Rick Reno, the executive director of the United Wireless Arena, said that the opportunity that fans will have to see the Law in action at an extraordinarily low price is due to cooperation between the Law, VenueWORKS, and United Wireless.
"It has been a pleasure to work with the football team to come up with a financial arrangement that will allow fans to come get a first look at professional football in Dodge City," Reno said. "The United Wireless Arena is glad to participate in a way that will allow the fans to see what I think is one of the most exciting sporting events out there. The arrangement will enable fans to come in at a very affordable rate and bring the whole family."
Ricky Bertz, the owner of the Dodge City Law, believes that the arrangement is beneficial for the Dodge City Law, the arena management, and football fans.
"This will be a fantastic opportunity for the people of Dodge City and the surrounding area to come see their team play for the first time. We are glad that we are able to come to an agreement with our partners at the arena in order to offer our fans a great deal."
Sean Ponder, head coach of the Dodge City Law is eager for the season to get started.
