
Dietz Joins Rush

The Louisville Fire Arena Football team is developing quite a reputation for sending players to the next level. The latest Fire player to make the jump is quarterback Brett Dietz, who has signed with the Chicago Rush.
Dietz, who was named the 2006 af2 Rookie of the Year, will be joining the defending ArenaBowl Champions in Chicago. In 2006 Dietz led af2 completing 71% of his passes and was tied for first in efficiency at 126.7. Dietz also passed for 90 touchdowns and found the end zone 11 times on the ground setting a Fire record for total touchdowns in a season with 101.

"We had a feeling coming into this season that Brett would only be here for one year," said Fire head coach Tommy Johnson.
Dietz is the fifth Fire player to join an af2 team this year, Will Rabatin and Brian Thornburg signed with Columbus, Tiger Jones signed with New Orleans and Rob Mager joined the Grand Rapids Rampage.
