Diesel Sign Running Back

Tri-City Diesel News Release


The Tri-City Diesel recently signed Kevin Brown, a 6'1", 225lb. running back out of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Brown began his college career in 1997 at the City College of San Francisco where he broke O.J. Simpson's single game rushing record with 328 yards on 27 carries. Brown also holds the school's single season rushing record with 1,762 yards and an 8.0 yard-per-carry average. In 1998 he transferred to Washington State University where he had 1,048 yards on 215 carries and six games with over 100 yards rushing. After sitting out a year, Brown transferred to the University of Nevada at Las Vegas in 2000 where he ran for 828 yards on 148 carries and had four games with over 100 yards rushing.

Diesel Head Coach, Leland Skeen, describes Brown as "a big physical back with excellent speed that has excelled in two major conferences (All Pac-10; Honorable Mention All-Mountain West Conference)."

The Tri-City Diesel begin their season at Enid, Ok on March 21st at 7:35 p.m.
