Diesel Players and Staff Snare Awards

Tri-City Diesel News Release
Defensemen Charles Verdone and Eric Ryan, along with Brett Wetton and Jesse Burke from the offense, received recognition awards at the NIFL league meetings on Sept. 12 in Denver. The Diesel played inthe Pacific Conference Northern Division of the National Indoor Football League.
Verdone was named to the outstanding defensive back list, while Ryan earned recognition from his linebacker position. Wetton won his award while playing guard for the offense and Jesse Burke was the team's center
The Diesel organization also received the "Best Halftime Performance" at the meeting because of the halftime and during-the-game appearances of the Los Angeles Laker Cheerleaders.
Other Pacific Conference teams in the season just past were squads from Billings, Casper, Rapid City, Bismarck, Sioux Falls, Sioux City, Lincoln, Omaha, and LaCrosse.
