Tri-City Diesel News Release
The Tri-City Diesel will be hosting the Lacrosse Night Train this Saturday night during L&W Service Center Night at the Tri-City Arena with kickoff scheduled for 7:35 p.m.
The Diesel (1-0) are coming off a record-setting win in their season opener last week against the Oklahoma Crude. Diesel head coach Leland Skeen was pleased with the team's performance, "I was happy with the way the offensive line performed, they were definitely the anchor of the team," said Skeen. "It all starts with the offensive line and they didn't let me down.
Diesel running back Sherman Jones also had a big night as he set a new Diesel single game rushing record with 87 yards against the Crude. "Sherman definitely stepped it up and played up to his ability," said Skeen.
The Night Train (1-0) also come in with an impressive win under their belt with a 46-21 week one win over the Sioux City Bandits. "Lacrosse is definitely vastly improved from last season and will be better than Enid's team was," said Skeen. "We're going to have to step it up as a whole to get the win and hopefully improve at every position.
This weekend's game also marks the beginning of play within the Pacific North division for the Diesel. Single game tickets are on sale and may be purchased at the Tri-City Arena box office or by calling (308) 338-8011.
