Diesel Fall to Roughriders

Tri-City Diesel News Release


The Tri-City Diesel dropped another one at home, 75-51, in a shootout with the Bismark Roughriders.

Both teams came out firing as the lead changed hands six times in the first half alone with Bismark leading 37-33 at the half. A slow third quarter and several turnovers cost the Diesel the game in the second half as they turned the ball over a total of five times during the game.

Diesel quarterback Roger Linn was 17 of 28 for 200 yards and three touchdowns but also threw four interceptions. Diesel offensive MVP Terry McClain had five catches for 75 yards and a touchdown, Tyrone Thomas and Greg Lathan also each had five catches and a touchdown for the Diesel.

Defensively, the Diesel were led by Brian Smith with eight tackles followed by Josh Jacobs with seven and Mark Hays with six including one for a loss.
