Diesel Defeat Crude in Wild Night

May 29, 2004 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Tri-City Diesel News Release

Kearney, NE – It was a wild night at the Tri-City Arena for the Diesel/Crude game, with thunderstorms hitting the Kearney area causing two power outages to delay the game. However this didn't fluster the Tri-City Diesel offense as they overcame it to overpower the Crude defense. The Diesel managed to rack up 203 total yards of offense and averaged whopping 5.5 yards per play.

Diesel QB, Alex Neist, went 11 for 19 for 141 yards passing with 4 touchdowns. His main target tonight was Jason Mitchell who hauled in 4 catches for 42. The other Diesel receivers, Sonte Wong and Pinklon Thomas, managed to grad 2 touchdowns apiece.

The Diesel Defense also had a good showing by getting 2 safeties, one each by Brad Lindamood and JR Kelemeni respectively. Wade Kittleson led the charge for the Diesel Defense by getting 6 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, and 2 quarterback hurries.

With the win over the Crude the Diesel end up 6-0 in the Pacific South Division for the 2004 season. The Diesel are on the road the next two weekends, Sioux City and Lincoln, before coming back to the Diesel Dome on June 19th against the Lincoln Capitals.
