Tri-City Diesel News Release
The Tri-City Diesel rewrote the team's record books with a 54-33 win on the road against the Oklahoma Crude this past weekend.
Diesel running back Sherman Jones ran for 87 yards breaking Dale Van Housen' s single game rushing record of 81 yards set against the Southern Oregon Heat on April 26, 2001. The Diesel also tied a team game high with 35 rushing attempts also set against the Heat in 2001. The 54 points also broke the record for most points in a game, the old record of 51 was set against the Sioux Falls Storm in 2002 and matched again against the LaCrosse Night Train in the same season.
The Tri-City Diesel play their home opener this Saturday night at the Tri-City Arena against the LaCrosse Night Train with kickoff at 7:35 p.m. Single game tickets are on sale and may be purchased at the Tri-City Arena box office or by calling (308) 338-8011.
