(Chattanooga, TN) July 23rd- The West Tenn Diamond Jaxx knocked off the Chattanooga Lookouts 6-5 in a see-saw Wednesday afternoon affair at AT&T Field in Chattanooga.

Denny Stark pitched two innings in relief of starter Justin Thomas to pick up the win. Stark (3-3) allowed a run on three hits with two strikeouts. Shawn Kelley pitched the final two innings to nail down his fifth save of the season. Kelley allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits. He retired the final batter of the game with the tying run at second base.

Greg Halman and Erick Monzon hit solo home runs while Johan Limonta drove in three runs to pace the Diamond Jaxx offense. Brent Johnson and Mike Wilson chipped in with two hits each. Johnson moved his hitting streak to sixteen straight games. Marshall Hubbard reached base for the forty-eighth consecutive game.

James Avery started and lost the game for Chattanooga, dropping his record to 6-7 on the season. Avery allowed five runs (three earned) on seven hits with two walks and four strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings. Chris Valaika had two hits and a RBI, extending his hitting streak to seventeen straight games. Eric Eymann, Chris Denove and Sean Henry had two hits each to highlight a thirteen hit Lookouts attack.

Thanks to Tuesday's rainout, the two teams will play a doubleheader on Thursday afternoon with the first game getting underway at 5:15 CDT. Right-hander Doug Fister (5-11 5.22) gets the start in game one for the Diamond Jaxx. Chattanooga will counter with righty Sam LeCure (7-4 3.75). In the nightcap, the Diamond Jaxx will send righty Travis Chick (2-5 4.27) to the hill. Chattanooga will counter with lefty Pedro Viola (1-6 6.02). Both games will be seven innings in length.
