
Desperados Drafted for U.S. Army Boot Camp

Dallas Desperados News Release
The Dallas Desperados Arena Football team will join local U.S. Army representatives and Arena Football League executives in an effort to promote physical fitness at the high school level through the AFL-U.S. Army Boot Camp. Desperados Head Coach Will McClay, wide receiver/defensive back Jason Shelley, defensive specialist Jermaine Jones, fullback/linebacker C.J. McClain and the Dallas Desperados Dancers will team up with U.S. Army battalion officials to speak with local high school students during physical education classes. Following the speeches, students will participate in AFL flag-football scrimmages, autograph signings and raffles for AFL merchandise.
Through the program, AFL players, coaches and U.S. Army officials will teach high school students the importance of teamwork, fitness and exercise education. The program will be conducted at high schools in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York and Tampa.
