Dallas Desperados News Release
DALLAS, Texas - The Dallas Desperados were awarded offensive lineman Troy Reddick (6-3, 320) through waivers today, obtaining the second-year pro from the Kansas City Brigade who was released shortly after they acquired him in a trade with the San Jose Sabercats on January 11.
As an AFL rookie in 2007, Reddick saw time in nine games with seven starts on the offensive line for the ArenaBowl XXI Champion Sabercats, while also making three postseason starts including the league title game.
Reddick had a standout collegiate career at Auburn University where he blocked for NFL running backs Carnell "Cadillac" Williams and Ronnie Brown during his tenure from 2002-05, while also posting a streak of 34 consecutive starts on the offensive line during a three-year span.
The Dallas Desperados open the 2008 season in a nationally televised game on ABC at the Georgia Force on March 1 at 12 p.m.
