Denver Dynamite News Release
A second-half explosion helped the Denver Dynamite win 11-6 over the Wenatchee Fire on Saturday night at the Denver Sports Center. The Dynamite is now 2-0 at home, while Wenatchee falls to 0-2 for the whole season.
The Dynamite survived a tight first half, in which they only led 4-3, and a four-goal performance from Fire player Alex Megeson. Much like in the last home game against Detroit, the Dynamite team exploded through the second half, racking up 11 goals and leaving the Fire frustrated and tired.
Mikey Duarte notched a hat trick for Denver and player/coach Chris Handsor had two goals and two assists. Ryan Creager added a goal and four assists. Garth Archibabld, Jay Hamilton, James McMonigle. John Molet and Tony Thomas each contributed scores.
Megson added an assist to match Creager with a game-high five points.
The Dynamite hope to continue this streak of home-field dominance next Saturday, Dec 6 at 7:15 pm when the Colorado Lightning come from Ft Collins to the Denver Sports Center (5555 W. Evans) for the first of the teams' four scheduled games.
Single game tickets are available for $10 at www.DenverDynamiteSoccer.com/store.
