Denver Dynamite News Release

The Dynamite announced Thursday the signing of five additional players as they continue to look toward filling their twenty five man roster for the 2009-10 Professional Arena Soccer League season kicking off November 14th when the San Diego Sockers make their way to the Mile High City.

Forward Aaron King, who spent some time with the Colorado Lightning last season, joins Denver after a spending a season with the United Soccer League 1st division (USL-1)'s Miami FC. King has also played for the Charleston Battery (USL-1), Carolina Railhawks (USL-1) and the Colorado Rapids (MLS).

Another former Lightning player, midfielder Roby Monroe, will also don the new Dynamite jersey this year. Monroe was rostered on the original San Diego Sockers, who played in the now defunct Major Indoor Soccer League. He also played on several United Soccer League's Premier Development League (USL-PDL) teams such as the Colorado Comets, San Diego Gauchos, El Paso Patriots, and Nashville Metros. He also spent a stint in Cincinnati with the Riverhawks who played in the USL's A-League, now known as USL-1.

Travis Carey, who trained with the team last year, signs on as a midfielder this year after making a cross country move from New York. While on the east coast, Carey, played for the New York Shockers (PASL-Premier) and in the USL-PDL with teams such as Cape Cod Crusaders and Albany Admirals after beginning his career with the Western Mass Pioneers in the USL-2 (United Soccer Leagues 2nd division)

"This season is going to be challenging with the addition of teams like San Diego and Canton. I fee that we have the talent to build on our playoff berth season last year and am happy to see that we have an abundance of experience players that will make the difference. Players like Aaron King and Roby Monroe will be welcome additions and will fit in well with our style of play and philosophy. As I look down the line, I see both new and seasoned players that will contribute to what will hopefully be a championship season for the Dynamite," Technical Director, Chuck Estrada.

Also agreeing to terms for the upcoming season are midfielder Justin Stones and goalkeeper Brett O'Connor. Stoner has played the past two seasons with the Golden Strikers (PASL-Premier), while O'Connor spent time with the Denver Dragons (PASL-Premier) and the Colorado Springs Blizzard (USL-PDL).

"There will be many hard choices to be made with the amount of skillful and talented players that have signed with the Dynamite this season. I look forward to a very competitive and successful season as we make a run at the PASL Championship. We will not be just exciting; we will be dynamite to watch!" Coach Wells.

The Dynamite will look to capturing their first division and PASL-Pro championship titles when the 2nd season of Dynamite Arena Soccer in Denver gets underway in November. Single game, family four game packages and season tickets are on sale online at www.dynamitesoccer.com.
