Dennis, Stark to participate in NABL sponsored tryouts

Published on April 26, 2011 under North American League (NAmL) News Release

Rio Grande Valley WhiteWings field manager Eddie Dennis and McAllen Thunder field manager Matt Stark will be among the coaches taking part in the North American Baseball League sponsored National All Indy baseball tryout camp in Pasadena, Calif., on May 1. The league is holding the tryouts in a search for more players, plus league officials have invited managers and officials from other independent leagues to attend, in their efforts to find qualified ballplayers. That includes minor leagues from Japan, Mexico and Europe. Major league scouts also are expected to attend. Players will be drafted at the end of the day's tryouts. The tryout camp will be held at Jackie Robinson Stadium, located next to the Rose Bowl. The NABL is a result of mergers between the United League Baseball, the Northern League and the Golden League.
