August 1, 2013 - Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL)
Dayton Demonz News Release

DAYTON, OH - The Dayton Demonz Professional Hockey Club announced this morning that former Demonz standout Forward, Trevor Karasiewicz has been named Head Coach. Dayton hockey fans, familiar with the Demonz, saw "Kraz" set a Federal Hockey League (FHL) record for assists during the 2012-2013 season in which Karasiewicz was traded to Dayton from Williamsport prior to that team's departure from the league. Karasiewicz, a 10 year veteran of minor league professional hockey, retired from action at the end of last season which culminated in a Demonz Regular Season Championship and Western Division Championship.

Demonz owner Barry Soskin stated, "I'm pleased to have Trevor Karasiewicz as the next Head Coach of the Demonz. Trevor has a big task ahead of him and big shoes to fill [after the recent departure of former coach Marc LeFebvre]. [Marc] did a super job with the 2012-13 Demonz and now it's up to Trevor to reassemble another Championship-caliber team and bring The Cup home to Dayton." Soskin continued, "I am confident that Trevor's work ethic and enthusiasm for coaching will be the impetus for putting his personal stamp on his first Demonz team and that the Dayton fans will, again, be treated to an exciting team at Hara Arena." Contract terms were not disclosed.

COLLINS TO REMAIN AS ASSISTANT COACH

Jack Collins will remain as the Demonz Assistant Coach. During the 2012-13 season, Collins served as the "eye in the sky" for [then] head coach, Marc LeFebvre. Collins' vast hockey coaching experience and history of player development will prove vital to the continued success of the Demonz franchise. Says Soskin, "It's a pleasure to have Jack back with us again and involved with the 2013-2014 team. Jack played a big part in helping the coaching staff develop a 2012 Western Division Championship team and again will be a big part in returning us to 1st Place. Jack is Dayton hockey. He is well known in regional hockey circles. That's what I feel will help us with bringing in our fan base and with fans being able to correlate Trevor & Jack's contributions, last season, to that 1st place finish. Jack has an extensive hockey background and that will provide Trevor with an experienced coaching staff."
