Defenseman Artem Sergeev Joins Crunch

Syracuse, NY -Defenseman Artem Sergeev has joined the Crunch following the conclusion of his junior season with Val-d'Ors Foreurs of the QMJHL Crunch General Manager Julien BriseBois announced today. The Lightning have also returned forward JT Wyman to the Crunch.

Sergeev, 20, joins the Crunch after completing his third season with the Val-d'Ors Foreurs. The 6-2, 203 lb., blueliner has 86 points (18g, 68a) in 165 career regular season games in the QMJHL, he has seven points (3g, 4a) in three playoff games. A native of Moscow, Russia, Sergeev also represented Russia in the Under 20 World Junior Championships, winning silver in 2011-12 and bronze in 2012-13. Sergeev was signed by the Lightning as a free agent on July 1, 2012.

JT Wyman was returned to the Crunch after appearing in the Lightning's 3-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres on April 14. Wyman is the only the Crunch player to have played in all 73 games this season. He has recorded 35 points (12g, 23a) this season.

The Crunch conclude their regular season with a three-in-three at the War Memorial this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Single game tickets for the regular season as well as Game 1 and Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals can be purchased either in person at the Crunch Box Office located at the War Memorial on 800 South State Street in Syracuse, or by calling the office at (315) 473- 4444.
