Dayton Gems News Release

As the AA+ Dayton Gems of the International Hockey League are proud to announce the offer of a free taste of hockey to fans in the Miami Valley. Effective immediately all tickets for Thursday, October 8 and Wednesday, October 14th's home exhibition games are half off! To make the deal even sweeter fans are encouraged to bring a canned good to Hara Arena for both games. Fans bringing a canned good to an exhibition game will be admitted free of charge. These prices are good for walk up tickets only and are available while they last.

"I think it's a good opportunity for fans to come out and sample Gems hockey!" General Manager Richard Bruner said. "We wanted to give people an opportunity to come out and have a great time and help out a good cause."

The canned goods will be donated to a local food bank. Any fans who wish to bring out more than one caned good may do so as well and all canned goods will be donated!

Make sure you get your tickets for opening night Friday, October 16 at 7:30pm at Hara Arena. A lot of fun surprises are planned as the defending IHL champion Fort Wayne Komets come to town to take on your Dayton Gems. For more ticket information or to purchase tickets call Jill at (937) 275-7777.
