Dayton Gems Announces New Ownership Group

The Dayton Gems held a press conference today, Thursday, December 3 to introduce the new Dayton Gems ownership group to the community. The GDHP LLC are presented today as the new ownership group of the Dayton Gems. Kathy Rupp, Rob Garfield, and Dr. Paul Nitz and others make up the local group.

Saturday night at 7:30 pm as the Gems attempt to slay the Ft Wayne Komets join us we salute Gem Moe Benoit. Moe's number will be retired. Fans of the original Gems are invited to join us and pay tribute to his career. That evening is also "Kill the Komets" night and fans 12 and under will receive complimentary official Gems pom poms to cheer the team on.

Sunday, December 6th at 7:30 pm the Gems take on The Port Huron Ice Hawks and it'll be time for the Teddy Bear toss. When the Gems score their 1st goal it's time to toss your Teddy. Cutest Bear Contest - Top 5 cutest Teddy Bears will receive prizes so be sure and pin you name to your Bear. Bring along a Teddy and we'll donate him to a good girl or boy throughToys for Tots and The Ronald McDonald House.
