Dayton Dutch Lions News Release
The Dayton Dutch Lions FC are looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss last week in their home opener against the Rochester Rhinos. They are facing the Richmond Kickers, who held top favorite Orlando to a 0-0 score in Orlando in front of 9000 spectators. They Kickers are currently 1-2-1 with 4 points so a win would bring the Lions above the Kickers with one game less.
Head Coach Ivar van Dinteren has this to say on the upcoming game: "I was very disappointed last week after our loss. I feel we controlled the most part of the game and gave a unbelievable goal away ourselves. The last 15 minutes we put a lot of pressure on them and we had 2-3 good scoring opportunities and our guys deserved at least one point. Now we face Richmond, a team we had the most trouble with last year. They were the only team last year that outplayed us. They have a strong defense and creative players up front with a lot of speed. But we have progressed ourselves organization wise resulting in "only" 3 goals against in 3 games. Our problem however is scoring goals. That's why I will have a few adjustments this Saturday. The whole week I feel the guys are ready to bring our fans excitement and our first goals."
The Dayton Dutch Lions FC is currently 0-2-1. After this weekend's game they face Los Angeles Blues Friday May 11 and the Los Angeles Blues. Tickets for the game can be purchased at www.dutchlionsfc.com.
