Top Draft Picks with Dragons: Shortstop Justin Lebron, the Reds first round draft pick last month, has been added to the Dayton roster and made his professional debut last night, going 2 for 5 with a double. Lebron was the 18 th overall pick of the 2026 draft out of the University of Alabama. Every Reds first round draft pick since 2011 has played for the Dragons except 2025 first rounder Steele Hall, who is at Single-A Daytona and on track to play for the Dragons sometime in 2027. Other Reds first round picks in this decade who played for the Dragons included Chase Burns, Rhett Lowder, Cam Collier, Matt McLain, and Austin Hendrick. The Reds '26 second round pick, infielder Eric Becker (University of Virginia), joined the Dragons last Thursday and has played in four games with one home run. Tyson Lewis, the Reds second round pick in 2024 (Millard West High School), joined the Dragons on June 30. The Dragons roster now includes 10 players who are ranked as Reds top-30 prospects by either MLB Pipeline or Baseball America (or both).

Last Game: Tuesday: Lake County 8, Dayton 4. The Captains scored six runs in the second inning and held the Dragons without a hit over the final four innings to win. Justin Lebron, in his professional debut, had a single and double on his first two swings. Ryan McCrystal and Mason Neville had home runs for Dayton.

Reds 2026 first round draft pick Justin Lebron (University of Alabama) has joined the Dragons and made his professional debut Tuesday, going 2 for 5 with a single and double on his first two swings of the game. Lebron was the 18 th pick of the 2026 draft after leading the Tide to their first College World Series berth since 1999. Infielder Eric Becker, the Reds 2026 second round pick (University of Virginia), made his professional debut with the Dragons last week and hit his first home run as a professional on Saturday.

The Dragons Batter of the Week for August 4-9 is John Michael Faile: 9 for 21, .429, 3 HR, 8 RBI, 1.452 OPS. The Pitcher of the Week is Graham Osman: 1-0, 1.80 ERA, 5.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 9 SO, 0.80 WHIP.

The Dragons have hit 42 HR in 33 G (1.27 HR/G) since the promotions of their top four hitters on June 30. This pace is near their pre-June 30 home run pace (1.30 HR/G).
