Arkansas RimRockers News Release

Little Rock, AR. The Arkansas RimRockers defeated the St. Louis Flight by a score of 125-87. Todd Day set a team scoring record with 35 points. Day went 13 of 21 from the field, made four of eight three point shots and hit five of five free throws to lead the RimRockers to their fourth victory over the Flight.

Cedric Moodie scored the first basket of the game, but the Flight couldn't maintain the lead for long. Shawnson Johnson scored a lay-up for the RimRockers immediately afterwards and the RimRockers didn't look back. Arkansas got off to an 18-point lead in the first quarter and then extended that lead to 31 by the halftime break.

St. Louis's best effort was made immediately after the first half when they came out and scored 32 points while holding the RimRockers to 25 in the third quarter. The RimRockers responded in the fourth by scoring 35 points and topped the century mark with 8:57 to go in the game.

Although Day was the RimRockers leading scorer, other RimRockers to put up big numbers were Marco Cole (22), Kareem Reid (18 and 14 assists), Shawnson Johnson (17 and 12 rebounds).

The RimRockers enjoyed three home-game victories but will be put to the test as they travel to Baton Rouge to play the Cajun Pelicans on Feb 3 and 5 and then take on the Cincinnati Monarchs on Feb 7. The next home game in Alltel Arena will be Feb 10. For more information, call 501 975 4667, email juliewaba@crainteam.net or visit www.abalive.com.
