DURHAM, N.C. - The Memphis Redbirds continued a six-game road trip at the Durham Bulls (Triple-A, Tampa Bay Rays) with a 12-2 victory on Friday night at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
Designated hitter Chase Davis led the Memphis offense in Friday night's win. The left-handed hitter posted a 3-for-5 line with a grand slam, a double and five RBIs. The three hits and five RBIs set new Triple-A career highs for Davis. Right fielder Colton Ledbetter added four RBIs with a three-run homer of his own and a bases loaded walk. The left-handed hitter reached safely three times in the win against his former organization.
Starting pitcher Mason Molina (1-2) earned his first career Triple-A victory with 6.0 innings of two-run baseball. The left-handed pitcher worked around two hits, walked three and struck out eight. Molina allowed a pair of solo home runs to tally the damage against him. Matt Svanson and Skylar Hales combined for 3.0 scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
MLB Rehabbing third baseman Ramón Urías went 0-for-2 with a strikeout as the right-handed hitter continued his rehab assignment Friday night.
The Memphis Redbirds return to AutoZone Park on Tuesday, August 18 to begin a six-game homestand against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (Triple-A, Miami Marlins) with first pitch scheduled for 6:45 p.m. CDT.
