
Daryan Selvy Named CBA Player Of The Year

ALBANY, NY - The Continental Basketball Association is pleased to announce that Daryan Selvy of the Oklahoma Cavalry has been named the 2007-08 CBA Player of the Year, as voted upon by the ten CBA coaches.
The main scoring threat this season for the Cavalry, Selvy averaged 22.7 ppg., good for second overall in the CBA. Selvy also finished fourth in steals, 1.8 a game. Selvy also pulled down 6.5 rebounds, shot 50% from the field, and 85.8% from the free throw line. His high scoring game was 38 points against Rio Grande Valley on January 3. Selvy has also been a stabilizing force on the defensive end for Oklahoma.
âDaryan is a worthy recipient of the Player of the Year award," said CBA Deputy Commissioner Dennis Truax. "He has showed a variety of skills all season long and is a big part of the success of the Cavalry this season. His skills on both ends of the court made him stand out all season long."
