
Darrick Wallace Wins The Player Of The Quarter Award Again

AUSTIN, Texas - The Southern Indoor Football League announced today the winners of the league's Hooters Player of the Quarter awards, and once again Turfcats wide receiver Darrick Wallace was on that list.
Wallace and Tommy Herbert of Louisiana tied for the special teams award, Alvin Bartie of Louisiana won the offensive player award, Kimmie Lewis of Acadiana won the defensive player award and John Paul Jones of Louisiana won the lineman award. Wallace won the special teams Player of The Quarter award for the first quarter of the season. This was the second win for both Lewis and Jones as well.
Wallace is second in the SIFL in all-purpose yards with an average of 102.2 yards per game. He is also fourth for scoring touchdowns and fifth in the league for overall scoring with an average of 8.4 points per game. Along with leading the team in all purpose yards and scoring, Wallace's prior arena experience and outstanding leadership capabilities have been a tremendous asset to the Turfcats inaugural team.
The Turfcats' next game is Saturday against the North Texas Crunch. Gates open at 2:30 p.m. for tailgating, the arena doors open at 5:30 and kickoff is at 6:30.
