Daredevils announce inaugural season

St.Catharines, ON - Aug 30th, 2005 The Niagara DareDevils Basketball Club of the American Basketball Association will officially begin play on November 5th, 2005 at home against the Maryland Nighthawks.

The Niagara DareDevils will play in the Connie Hawkins Division of the ABA's North Eastern Conference. The 36 game schedule will include games against teams the Boston Frenzy, Buffalo Rapids, Montreal Matrix, Rochester Razorsharks, Maryland Nighthawks, Newark Express, NE Penn Breakers, Harlem Strong Dogs, and Long Island Sound. All home games will be played at the 3,000 seat Garden City Arena in St.Catharines, ON which will be converted from hockey to basketball for the teams use.

The team's inaugural press conference and kick-off party will take place on September 8th, 2005 at Wrigley's Sports Bar and Grill located at 89 Meadowvale Drive, St. Catharines, ON starting at 2pm. Members of the Media are asked to RSVP by calling Matt Scobel at 905-401-2740.
