Dance Team Tryouts To Be Held at Stockton Arena

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Lightning has announced it will hold auditions for spots on the Lightning's inaugural Dance Team for the 2006 season, beginning Saturday, March 4 at Stockton Arena.

The Lightning has scheduled auditions on the following dates:

Saturday, March 4: 9-10 a.m. PT (registration), 10 a.m. audition Monday, March 6: Interviews for finalists Tuesday, March 7: Finalist auditions (Time TBA)

Preliminary auditions will take place at the arena's north entrance; with registration held from 9 - 10 a.m. PT. Auditions will start promptly at 10 a.m. PT with a judging panel to be determined.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, and a $15 pre-registration fee will apply, with a $20 fee for walk-up applicants. All applicants are required to bring a 4x6 photo or larger (non-returnable), dance sneakers or jazz shoes, two-piece leotard and flesh-colored tights, while makeup and hair is required to be in an attractive and flattering style.

To ensure a professional and relaxed atmosphere, auditions are closed to the general public.

The Lightning opens the 2006 season schedule on the road against the Spokane Shock on March 30 at 6 p.m. PT, the opening game of the af2's season slate.

Season tickets for the upcoming Lightning season are on sale now. Tickets for the Lightning's April 29 home opener against the Bakersfield Blitz can currently be purchased as part of a full season package.
