This Saturday, November 10th when the Whalers take on Williamsport Outlaws at the Danbury Ice Arena, Bruce Bennett Nissan of Wilton is giving one fan a chance to shoot on the ice for a brand new 2012 Nissan Quest.

Leland Fidler Returns to Danbury Whalers
The Danbury Whalers have announced that defenseman Leland Fidler has signed an agreement to join the team. Fidler, one of the most popular players in the club's 3-year history, played for the Whalers during the 2010-11 season.
In total, Leland played 5 regular season games for the Whalers that season and had 1 goal & 8 assists and was a +11. During the epic playoff series with the Aviators, Fidler has 1 assist in 5 games and went down with an injury in game 5.
In his only FHL season, Leland posted 9 goals, 26 assists, and while as a member of the Rome Frenzy, he also took on Danbury Whalers #15 Corey Fulton in a fight at the Danbury Ice Arena.
Over the past two seasons, Leland has played 3 games in the ECHL and played 58 games in the SPHL.
The Waltham, Massachusetts native commented, "I have a lot of great memories from my first season. Danbury is an incredible city to be in and I look forward to seeing the fans on Saturday night."

This Saturday night the Danbury Whalers and TK's American Café of Danbury are recognizing all area fire fighters and fire departments with Fireman Appreciation Night.
On Saturday, November 10th, when the Whalers take on the Williamsport Outlaws at 7:35 PM, TK's American Café extends an offer to all area firemen and members of their department. Receive a complimentary ticket to that night's Whalers game and enjoy a complimentary pre-game beverage of your choice and half price wings all night - before and after the game at TK's.

Whalers Announce Scout Sleepover
Camp Out at the Arena
This season the Danbury Whalers have put together and exciting promotion for members of the scouting world. On Saturday, January 12th, following the Whalers 7:35 pm game against the Danville Dashers, the Danbury Whalers will be holding a Boy and Girl Scout Sleepover event at the Danbury Ice Arena.
Whether you're a seasoned camping veteran or participating for the first time, the Boy and Girl Scout Sleepover event will be fun for the whole family.
The event breaks down as follows:
Scouts, Scout leaders, and their families can purchase tickets to the Whalers game
During the game, Scouts will be invited onto the ice to present the colors during the National Anthem
Following the game:
Scouts can set up their camp site/tent in the arena and lockerroom in the designated areas
There will be a schedule of activities throughout the night including:
Ice skating
An in arena scavenger hunt
Movies
All Scouts will receive a participation badge/patch which meets all BSA and GSUSA requirements
The following morning a light breakfast will be included
Cost for the event is $9 for Scouts and $14 for adults
