This Friday night, January 4th at 7:35 PM the Danbury Whalers take on the Williamsport Outlaws. We are neck and neck for 2nd place, this is going to be an action packed game.

The Whalers will be wearing special edition Black Jersey's with Green trim. During the game fans will have a chance to place a bid on the jerseys, with the fans taking them home after the game with the option of a player signature.

Friday's game will also feature the rescheduled Ralph the Ice Cream Guy Ice Cream Eating Contest. One fan is going to win ice cream for the year. Due to last weekend's snow storm it was pushed back to this weekend.

Friday will feature a fundraising night for the John Pettibone School PTO in New Milford. The PTO will be putting their funds towards their student enrichment programs. A portion of chuck a pucks, whales, and the 50/50 will go towards their organization.

In addition, the American Hearing Impaired Hockey Association will at the game with a fundraising night as well. For more information on their group check them out at

Before the game, be sure to eat at Two Steps Downtown Grille before the game. Try the Big Juicy Danbury Whalers Burger - It's fantastic.

Park in the Patriot Garage across the street from the Danbury Ice Arena. It's safe, secure, and legal. Make sure the only ticket you get is to the game.

After the game, be sure to stop by Two Steps Downtown Grille on Ives Street for the post game party. Meet the players coaches, staff, and management. It's going to be a great time.

Lynn Beedle Returns

The Danbury Whalers are proud to announce the signing of veteran defenseman Lynn Beedle. Over the past two seasons, Beedle has played in 82 games which is 2nd most in club history trailing only Sean O'Malley.

In his Whalers career, Beedle has collected 5 goals and 19 assists for 24 points. His professional career includes 110 professional games including 15 for the Trenton Titans of the East Coast Hockey League (AA-ECHL). Lynn attended Norwich University where he was a part of two collegiate National Championship teams.

Highlights over LB's career include a game winning goal in 2011 at Brooklyn in Game 2 of the playoffs first round, a game winning goal on 12/18/10 against 1000 Islands, and a solid TKO over Sam Ward of the Rome Frenzy in a bout at the DIA.

Beedle is set to make his season debut tomorrow night for the Whalers.

Whalers Tyler Noseworthy All-Star Game MVP

Congratulations to Danbury Whalers Forward Tyler Noseworthy on being named the Federal Hockey League's All-Star Game Most Valuable Player.

The game which took place on Wednesday, January 2nd in Williamsport, Pennsylvania featured the FHL All-Stars against the hometown Outlaws.

The All-Stars took home the win with an 18-13 victory. Noseworthy led the way with 4 goals, 2 assists, 8 shots on goal, and was a plus 2.

Noseworthy is the Whalers leading scorer on the season with 33 points.
