The Danbury Whalers are home today, Sunday is going to be a war as the Dayton Demonz come to town in a battle for 1st place. Gametime on Sunday is 5:05 PM.
Sunday is a Skate with the Whalers game. Following Sunday's game, fans can go on the ice with the Danbury Whalers and skate with them after the game. Fans who do not have skates can rent them from the Danbury Ice Arena.
Also at the game stop by and see Doctors Express and Macaroni Kids. Both organizations will have tables on the concourse level, stop by and sign up for a chance to win great prizes.
Sunday's fundraisers are Mill Ridge School in Danbury, Matthew's Hearts of Hope, and the Brookfield High School Robotics team.
Matthew's Hearts of Hope, Inc. (MHOH) was founded by Marie Hatcher, Mom to Matthew, to raise awareness to the number one birth defect, Congenital Heart Defects (CHDs), offer support to CHD patients and their families, as well as raise funds for research. We are an official 501 (c) (3), non profit organization with a Board of Directors comprised of four nurses, one pediatrician and two pediatric cardiologists amongst others.
In our three short years of existence, we have worked hard to not only raise money for CHD research and to help support the CHD community, but also to raise awareness and to advocate for important legislation, which will help save lives.
