Danbury team to be announced

A new Danbury professional hockey franchise to play in the newly formed Eastern Professional Hockey League will be formally announced Monday, March 24, at 9:00AM at the Danbury Ice Arena, 1 Independence Way in Danbury , Connecticut . The team will play 25 home games at Danbury Ice Arena as part of the 2008-09 EPHL season which will begin Saturday, November 1, 2008 .
Those in attendance at the announcement will include EPHL Commissioner Jim Riggs, Danbury franchise owners Tim Kolpien, Curtis Russell, and Igor Mrotchek, and Danbury franchise GM Brendan Tedstone.
Information on the EPHL, the Danbury franchise "Name the Team" contest, and other aspects of the new team will be available at that time. The league website and Danbury team website will also go "live" at that time.
