DANBURY, CT- April 6, 2015: The Danbury Westerners, the longest tenured team in the New England Collegiate Baseball League, are proud to announce the signing of infielder Dan Bergami for the 2015 season.

Dan Bergami is a junior from Schenectady, NY and majors in business management at Springfield College. Bergami is an infielder that bats and throws right handed. Through games of April 5, Bergami is batting .333, with an OBP of .417 and a slugging percentage of .476. He leads the team with 13 games played, eight runs scored, six doubles and 20 total bases. Last season he played in 32 games with a .248 batting average. Bergami had three doubles, eight RBI, and 15 runs during the 2014 campaign. His season highlight was against Hope in a 5-1 win, where he had three RBI, one double, and one run scored. Bergami played his freshmen year at Southern Vermont College where he appeared in twenty-two games.

The Danbury Westerners are proud to announce that they will be having their 21st Annual Celebrity Breakfast on June 5th at the Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury, CT. The Annual Celebrity Breakfast welcomes the 2015 Danbury Westerners to the greater Western Connecticut community. In addition, the Westerners are thrilled to announce that former All Star and New York Mets World Series Champion Bud Harrelson will be the keynote speaker.
