
Damone Brown Returns to Lowgators

GREENVILLE, S.C. (February 1, 2003) - The North Charleston Lowgators have re-acquired forward Damone Brown, according to an announcement today by National Basketball Development League Executive Director Karl Hicks.
Brown, who just completed a 10-day contract with the Toronto Raptors of the NBA, will rejoin the Lowgators Sunday and is expected to play that afternoon when North Charleston visits the Mobile Revelers at 5 p.m. ET at the Mardi Gras Dome. With Brown's return, the North Charleston roster returns to the NBDL limit of 10 players.
During his 10-day callup to the Raptors, Brown played in five games and started three, averaging 23 minutes, 5.6 points and 3.0 rebounds per game. He scored a NBA career high 13 points against the Washington Wizards Jan. 14 and then collected a career-best eight rebounds against the New Jersey Nets three days later.
Brown, 6-foot-8, 202 pounds, averaged 14.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 28.9 minutes in 23 games with the Lowgators before signing with Toronto. He recorded a season-high 31 points against Huntsville on Dec. 20 and collected a season-best 11 rebounds in two different NBDL games.
The Syracuse ('01) product will again wear jersey number 10 with the Lowgators.
