July 5, 2022 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Inter Miami CF News Release

Inter Miami CF defender Damion Lowe has been named to the MLS Team of the Week presented by Audi for Week 18 of the 2022 MLS regular season. Lowe makes his third appearance in the MLS Team of the Week this season following a determined defensive display in Inter Miami's 1-1 draw against FC Dallas on July 4 at Toyota Stadium.

Lowe anchored the Herons' defensive line against FC Dallas, with a performance that saw him complete the game with an 84.8% passing rate, win 71.4% of duels, and make three key tackles. The Jamaican National has been a near constant in the defense, playing 1,320 minutes for Inter Miami this season in MLS, with four clean sheets, and a team-leading 33 successful interceptions.

Lowe's inclusion in the MLS Team of the Week is the ninth time this season that an Inter Miami player or coach has been given the honor. He is joined by attackers Leo Campana and Indiana Vassilev, midfielders Robert Taylor and Bryce Duke, defender Aimé Mabika, goalkeeper Drake Callender and head coach Phil Neville.

Lowe's three appearances in the MLS Team of the Week is the most by an Inter Miami player thus far this season; Campana and Callender, meanwhile, have received the honor two times each. With nominations in nine weeks this season, Inter Miami has had a player or coach represented in the Team of the Week for half of the 2022 MLS Regular Season thus far.
