Dallas Wings News Release
Arlington, TX - The Dallas Wings announced the hiring of Jordyn Turner as Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer and Caitlin Morgan as Vice President and General Counsel. Turner will join the organization on August 10 while Morgan will begin with the Wings on August 17.
"The needs of our business continue to evolve and grow, with our upcoming move to Dallas the catalyst for much of that development," said Dallas Wings CEO and Managing Partner Greg Bibb. "Jordyn Turner and Caitlin Morgan will be key additions to our senior leadership team as we move into a new era of Dallas Wings basketball. Their diverse experience, fresh perspectives and expertise in their respective fields will be invaluable as our future continues to take shape."
Turner comes to the Wings from Fanatics where she served as Senior Manager of Enterprise Strategy. With Fanatics, Turner had strategic involvement in the company's highest priority growth initiatives, spanning enterprise partnerships, new market entry, and new product development. She designed the operating model for managing several of Fanatics' most significant enterprise partnerships, owning executive reporting, risk management, and incremental opportunity identification. Prior to Fanatics, Turner spent six years with Bain & Company working with executive teams of industry-leading companies to address critical issues in strategy, operations, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational effectiveness. Turner received her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, where she was a member of the women's basketball team. She also holds a Master's in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
With the Wings, Turner will drive strategy and alignment across departments, prioritize key business opportunities, and identify paths to accelerate growth. She will also assist Bibb with league and investor relations.
Morgan comes to the Wings from the Kansas City Current of the NWSL where she served as Assistant General Counsel. In her role with the Current, Morgan provided legal and business advice to ownership and business teams on a variety of issues related to team, league, stadium, youth development, expansion, and intellectual property matters. Additionally, she drafted and negotiated a wide range of agreements, including sponsorship, broadcast, licensing and employment. Prior to her time with the Current, Morgan was a Partner at DLA Piper and Polsinelli, where she represented athletic organizations and media rights holders throughout the sports and entertainment industry. Morgan received her undergraduate degree from York University in Toronto, Ontario, before graduating from Albany Law School in New York.
Morgan will serve as the Dallas Wings' chief legal advisor by providing proactive, strategic, and practical counsel. She will lead the legal function by ensuring compliance with league rules, applicable laws and regulations, contractual obligations, and governance standards while partnering with executive leadership to support sound business decisions.
Turner and Morgan will both serve on the senior leadership team and report directly to Bibb. Turner's placement was led by Excel Search & Advisory. An internal process led to Morgan's hiring.
