Dallas Rattlers Announce Opening Day Activities and Promotions

FRISCO, Texas - The Dallas Rattlers have released more information about upcoming activities and promotions surrounding the team's home opener on Sunday, April 29 at 2 p.m.
The fun begins at Ford Center's plaza with the Lava Cantina Pregame Tailgate at 12 p.m. The Rattlers have partnered with Lava Cantina to bring the best live entertainment to The Star for all seven Rattlers' home games. Sunday's live band will be the always energetic Hip Hop Hooray, a self-described "80's & 90's old skool hip hop" group.
On the plaza, there will be a lacrosse equipment drive benefiting Bridge Lacrosse, a sports-based, youth development nonprofit serving the urban communities of North Texas. All are encouraged to donate gently-used lacrosse equipment at the Bridge Lacrosse tent on the plaza. We kindly ask donations not consist of apparel, cleats or jerseys.
The first 5,000 fans in the building will receive a complimentary Rattlers magnet schedule presented by MedSpring, the official Urgent Care of the Dallas Rattlers. There will also be 7,000 gameday programs presented by Dr. Geoff Higgs, MD and Associates.
In attendance for the pregame ceremonies will be Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney, MLL founder Jake Steinfeld and MLL Commissioner Sandy Brown. Mayor Cheney will be taking the honorary face-off with a Dallas Rattlers player just before the game starts.
At halftime, Premier Grilling will be giving one lucky fan a custom-built outdoor kitchen (retail value $10,000) including grill, cabinetry and granite counter tops. The kitchen giveaway winner will be determined by a random drawing of all seats.
After the game, the Dallas Rattlers will be available for a 15-minute autograph session.
