Dakota's Stefhon Hannah Named NBA Development League Performer of the Week

NEW YORK, April 2, 2012 - Stefhon Hannah, a guard for the Dakota Wizards, was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played March 26-April 1. The honor is the first of Hannah's career.

Hannah (6-1, 175, Missouri) led the Wizards to a 3-0 record last week, averaging 28.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 34.3 minutes. He shot 58 percent from the floor and 47 percent from three-point range, while hitting 100 percent (8-of-8) of his free throws. He began the week on March 26 with a 37-point outing in a 99-76 win over the Erie BayHawks, before finishing with a 27-point, 11-rebound performance in a 109-89 win over the Texas Legends on March 29.

In 25 games, 23 starts, for the Wizards this season, Hannah is averaging 18.4 points, 4.6 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 31.5 minutes. He has scored in double figures 19 times, including an NBA D-League career-high 43 points in a 119-111 win over the Reno Bighorns on March 17, when he shot 13-of-18 from the floor and connected on 8-of-10 from beyond the arc.

Other top performers considered included Austin's Eric Dawson, who averaged 21.0 points and 11.0 rebounds in two games; Bakersfield's Jeremy Wise, who averaged 15.0 points and 6.7 assists in two games; Canton's Luke Harangody, who averaged 22.5 points and 18.5 rebounds in two games on assignment from the Cleveland Cavaliers; Erie's Joey Graham, who averaged 19.8 points and 7.3 rebounds in four games; Idaho's Marcus Banks, who averaged 20.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in two games; Iowa's Mike Efevberha, who averaged 23.0 points and 5.3 rebounds in four games; Los Angeles' Elijah Millsap, who averaged 20.0 points and 7.3 rebounds in three games; Maine's Morris Almond, who averaged 29.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in two games; Rio Grande Valley's Malcolm Thomas, who averaged 19.0 points and 11.5 rebounds in two games on assignment from the Houston Rockets; Reno's Antoine Wright, who averaged 21.0 points and 6.0 rebounds in two games; Springfield's Jeff Foote, who averaged 14.3 points and 9.3 rebounds in four games; Sioux Falls' Trey Gilder, who averaged 23.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in two games, and Tulsa's Jerome Dyson, who averaged 20.7 points and 5.0 assists in three games.
