THURSDAY IN VEGAS: Ten (10) players with D-League connections participated in four games at the Reebok Vegas Summer League...2005 first-team All-NBDL selection Isiah Victor (Roanoke) hit 2-of-2 FGA and 5-of-6 FTA and grabbed two rebounds in 15 minutes...2005 Defensive Player of the Year Derrick Zimmerman (Columbus, now Austin) hit 3-of-5 FGA, scored seven and had two assists in 17 minutes for the Nets.
TODAY IN VEGAS: Eleven (11) former D-Leaguers are scheduled to play in four games, including four each in the Suns-Pistons and Magic-Bulls matchups.
TODAY IN SO CAL: The Summer Pro League begins today at the Pyramid in Long Beach, Calif. and continues through July 23...Fourteen (14) players with D-League ties are expected to suit up for five different NBA summer league teams there...The Mavericks will have a decided D-League flavor with four former D-Leaguers, including Sung-Yoon Bang (Roanoke) and Scott Merritt (Columbus, now Austin) from the 04-05 NBDL season.
10 of 14: Ten of the 14 players with D-League ties playing at the Summer Pro League were active in the NBDL last season.
